BBS supplies Natural Stone for Regeneration of Elephant and Castle Southwark, London

Specialists in regeneration projects, BBS has supplied a variety of natural stone as part of the major works transforming The Elephant and Castle.

Working alongside clients Lend Lease and contractors J Murphy, Blu-3 and P J Carey, BBS has supplied 6000m2 of Chinese Silver Grey Granite, Italian Porphyry and Spanish Granite to this extensive Central London regeneration project.

The 28 acre redevelopment project is split across three sites; Trafalgar Place, One The Elephant and South Gardens. When complete in 2025, the scheme will provide 3,000 new homes (of which 25% will be affordable) and 6,000 new jobs (5,000 in construction and 1,000 in the completed development). Centred around a new two acre park, which is the largest new green space created in London for 70 years, the transformation is breathing new life into this iconic part of London.

BBS's natural stone has created fabulous public spaces that include a low level water, feature, seating and contemporary sculpture. Each stone type was selected for its unique qualities... Chinese granite was chosen for its aesthetics, Porphyry for its colour and Spanish Granite for its short lead time.

Ideal for use in hardscape projects such as public realm, street furniture installations, streetscapes and environmental improvements, these robust natural stones are perfect for regeneration projects such as The Elephant and Castle.

As experts in this type of projects, BBS works with major developers to deliver multi-million pound schemes across the country. So, if you have a project you'd like to discuss, speak to one of our sales team, who will be happy to introduce you to BBS Natural Stone Specialists.
