BBS has supplied natural stone to create 4,000 steps and decorative planters at Tottenham Hotspur FC's brand new Stadium development

The high profile Northumberland Development Project which incorporates the redevelopment of the Tottenham’s Hotspur’s former home, White Hart Lane, is nearing completion and following a commission by Populous Architects, BBS Natural Stone Specialists has supplied a selection of stone for 4,000 steps and an array of planters for the club’s brand new stadium.

Utilising Portuguese blue/grey granite with black nosings for the steps, together with Chinese black granite for the planters, the natural stone choices beautifully represent and complement Tottenham Hotspur’s team colours.

“We are delighted to have been commissioned for this high profile project.

“Our comprehensive range of natural stone meant that we were able to precisely meet our client’s brief. Both Portuguese and Chinese granite are exceptionally robust materials whilst being aesthetically pleasing and as such will provide an outstanding finish to this prestigious development for many years to come.

“We can’t wait to see the finished results.”

With a capacity of 62,000, the multipurpose sports, leisure and entertainment destination is set to host Tottenham’s home matches, together with a minimum of two NFL matches per year and a number of other events and concerts. With a heavy duty footfall, the natural stone choice needed to be hard wearing and cost efficient.
