BBS Were pleased to support the Helensburgh RFC veterans 10’s rugby tournament on the 31st of May. The tournament featured some of the best known veterans of both League and Union. Colin Charvis and Rob Henderson had their Welsh and Irish Legends, Junior Paramore had his southern hemisphere legends and Jason White captained the Scottish Legends.
BBS were proud sponsors of the Rugby League legends team and also entered a team in conjunction with our Cyber security partners ‘Truststream’. The day was a great success raising lots of money for various Rugby charities including Wooden spoon and Charity Sporting prints. The main Final came down to Jason White’s Scottish Legends (featuring BBS’s Sales Director Mark (Freedman) against Junior Paramore’s southern Hemisphere legends, congratulations go to Junior and his team wining with a breakaway try from Fiji cap Taniela Ratu in the last minute of the game.
The BBS /Truststream team beat Oban RFC convincingly in the plate final to secure their invitation back to the tournament next year and were pleased to take home silverware in their first collaboration. Mark Freedman (BBS) and Paul Sullivan (Truststream) who jointly captained the side said how much they enjoyed the day and the spirit in which it was played. Special thanks to David Higgins from Helensburgh RFC and Charity Sporting Prints for putting the event together, if anyone would like to know more about this charity please go to www.charitysportingprints.com or www.woodenspoon.com
