BBS's Rugby Team Win Again

BBS Natural Stone / Truststream Rugby Team win the Plate competition for the second year running at the Scottish International Veterans 10's rugby tournament. For the second year running BBS Natural Stone and Truststream jointly sponsored a team of over 35 year old players for the Scottish Rugby Veterans' Tens Tournament. This is a star-studded event with international legends teams from Scotland, England, Wales / Ireland and the Southern Hemisphere turning out to play against each other and regular club sides. It was great to see so many famous faces from yesteryear turning out for a good cause. The two favourites again this year were Jason White's Scottish Legends which BBS sales Director Mark Freedman played for last year, and Junior Paramore's Southern Hemisphere Legends. Ultimately it came down to a final between these two and was won by the men from down under in a gruelling repeat of last year's final. Congratulations to Junior and his team. We look forward to seeing them all back next year.

Having lost narrowly 14 - 12 to Wales in the group stages, BBS Natural Stone / Truststream progressed to the plate tournament where they met Hilhead Jordan hill in the final. It was a comfortable win in the final to claim the Plate for the second year running. Congratulations to, Truststream Director and Captain Paul Sullivan and the rest of the team, who I'm sure will be back for more next year.

More importantly, it was a successful day and raised a lot of money for local charities. Thanks go to David Higgins who put so much work in behind the scenes to bring the tournament together.
