BBS Experiencing a significant rise in Concrete Brick orders

Published 4th November 2014Diamonds graphic separator

In the past 12-months BBS have seen a huge change in attitude towards Concrete Facing Bricks. In years gone by they were considered a 2nd option to Clay Bricks, however changes in various technologies and manufacturing processes have seen them become a realistic alternative to builders of all sizes.

Clay facing bricks have increased in cost dramatically in the past 18-months plus most are on severely extended lead-times for new orders as demand continues to outstrip supply. As such the more cost-effective and readily available option of Concrete Bricks is gathering momentum and acceptance. Large housebuilders such as Barratt, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, and David Wilson Homes are all committed to build using millions of Concrete Bricks in 2015. In addition BBS are having great success with Social Housing projects due to aesthetics, cost, and reliability.
