Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) photograph from BBS Brick & Stone Ltd

Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete, generally referred to as GRC is a combination of alkali resistant drawn glass fibre and a concrete which creates an extremely versatile artificial masonry that is perfect for reproductions and renovations.

GRC is becoming ever more popular due to its lightweight properties. With a typical thickness of between 10 and 15mm it allows otherwise extremely heavy and awkward-shaped items to be handled with relative ease, complying with site lifting laws, along with potentially saving time and money. Typically GRC masonry items are approximately 20% of the weight of an identical precast unit
